The Detroit Diesel Series 60 is a heavy duty inline six cylinder diesel engine that has transport industry applications. The Series 60 currently uses DDEC VI eltronics and is available with exhuast gas recirculation (EGR) system. This engine was available in a 12.7 litre or 14.0 litre version, but now is only available with a 14.0 litre displacement.

To comply with the 2007 EPA regulations the 2007 Series 60 features improved cooled EGR system and aftertreatment system made up of an oxidation catalyst and particulate filter.
